The ProStart program at a glance
ProStart blends culinary arts and management topics to develop well-rounded skills that translate to the workplace. It utilizes "The Foundations of Restaurant Management & Culinary Arts" curriculum and ServSafe guidelines, helping educators implement an effective learning experience in today’s classroom environment.

National Certifications
Students who have completed ProStart program requirements are awarded an industry-recognized certificate called the ProStart National Certificate of Achievement (COA).
Earning a COA means a student has:
Students who receive the certificate are eligible for NRAEF scholarship opportunities and course credits at some of the country's leading hospitality and culinary arts colleges and universities. Colleges providing credit are updated annually in the ProStart Student Passport.
Earning a COA means a student has:
- Successfully Passed the Level 1 Exam
- Successfully Passed the Level 2 Exam
- Completed 400 experience hours beyond classroom time
